Bridport Branch collecting signatures for our NHSS petition

The West Dorset Conservative Association represents members of the Conservative Party in the parliamentary constituency of West Dorset.  Our aim is to ensure Conservative representation at all levels of government.

We do this by campaigning on local and national issues, supporting Conservative candidates at elections and by fundraising.

As well as political activity, we have many social functions for members.  Some of these will be listed on our events pages.

  • Where: Bridport Arts Centre, South Street, Bridport, DT6 3NR.

Outlook
I am a great believer in local decision making and having now had experience as a councillor, at a very local level, I am even more determined to ensure that the process becomes meaningful to constituents rather than a system for system’s sake. If electors were enthused by policy decisions that were taken efficiently, transparently and effectively, the relationship between them and local government would be hugely improved. I would like to show people that they, and I, can make a difference to how they live everyday, by positively participating, building communities.
